Windmill Face Scrubby - Free Crochet Pattern

I ran out of cotton pads to wash my face, and with a two month old baby, I rarely go out unless I have to. So since I didn't want to go to the store to replace them right away, I had to figure out something else. I had a stash of partially used skeins of cotton yarn so I decided to play around and make my own reusable ones. I came up with 4 face scrubby patterns that I will be sharing here on my blog every Friday, starting today, and the next 3 weeks. I am calling it Face Scrubby Friday!

The first week of Face Scrubby Friday is the Windmill pattern. I wanted a scrubby that had a little texture to it, and using the Front Post Double Crochet stitch seemed like the way to go.

Materials:
G Hook (4mm)
Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn #4 (like Lily Sugar and Cream yarn)
Scissors
Needle for weaving in ends

Gauge:
Scrubby measures approximately 3 ½ inches.
I tend to crochet tightly, so check your gauge and adjust hook size accordingly.

Abbreviations (US terms):
CH - Chain
Sl St – Slip Stitch
DC – Double Crochet
FPDC – Front Post Double Crochet
RSC – Reverse Single Crochet (also known as Crab Stitch)
St(s) – Stitch(es)
RS – Right Side
WS – Wrong Side

Notes:
Repeat sections are notated with *  *
Ch 3 counts as a DC

    1. Thank you! I really enjoyed writing these up. I'm thinking I need to do a Washcloth Wednesday series next.
