Christmas Gift Blog Hop - Free Crochet Pattern

 I am so excited to be a part of the Christmas Gift Blog Hop. If you crochet and need some Christmas gift ideas, this blog hop is the perfect opportunity to grab some amazing patterns for free.  I am sharing my Taylor Beanie crochet pattern as a free pdf download. I love textured crochet. Even if the design is simple in construction, textured stitches can add so much detail and beauty. This pattern uses mainly front and back post stitches to create the texture. The pattern includes 3 sizes, Baby, Toddler, and Adult, so you can make it for the whole family!

For this pattern I used worsted weight yarn (Caron Simply Soft) and H and I hooks. I love faux fur poms, so I always add one on top. Spring Fashion Blog Hop - Free Crochet Patterns

I am overwhelmed by the wonderful response to my Gemma Shawl crochet pattern that I published a few days ago! It was my first time designing a shawl pattern to publish, and I am thrilled with how it turned out. I made it in Lion Brand Yarn 24/7 Cotton so I could wear it in the spring. I am in Idaho, so we don't actually get spring weather in the spring. We had a hint of spring when we took the photos, but then the very next day it was snowing again! For being cotton, the shawl actually helped keep me cozy while standing in the wind. When spring actually gets here, you know in May, I will have my Gemma Shawl ready.

Winter Fashion Blog Hop

In September I was part of a blog hop that featured my Cora Hat as a free pattern download. Over 1,400 of you downloaded the pattern! I am so overwhelmed by the love shown for my pattern. I am participating in another blog hop this month hosted by Claire over at E'Claire Makery. This time I decided to share my Cora Cowl pattern as a free download.

Fall Fashion Blog Hop - Free Crochet Patterns!

I am honored to be a part of the Fall Blog Hop hosted by my friend Claire at E'Claire Makery! I am featuring my Cora hat among the fall fashion designs from 14 other amazing designers.

I recently created the Nora hat knitting pattern and was inspired by this crochet blog hop to also create a crochet version of the hat! I love how it turned out! It has me thinking about other knitted designs of mine that I could recreate with crochet. Oh, the possibilities!

I love these hats because they have 2 different size cables, which makes for a unique and beautiful look! A few years ago, I was terrified of cables (both knitted and crochet). But once I tried them, I realized that basic cables look way more complicated than they actually are! I am so glad that I got up the courage to try cables, because now I cannot seem to stop using them in my designs! Even if you have never tried crochet cables yet, you should definitely give it a go. A couple of my testers had never done cables before, and their hats came out beautifully! I used Caron Simply Soft yarn, and my favorite 5.5mm hook. Add a pom and a tag, and you have a beautiful piece for your market prep, or Christmas gifts!
