Emerald Wall Hanging - Free Crochet Pattern

I had some large metal rings, and had a wall hanging design rattling around in my brain. I used a super bulky yarn so it worked up quickly. Scroll below for the free pattern!

Materials:
L Hook (8mm)
1 skein super bulky #6 yarn - We Crochet Tuff Puff (44 yds)
10 inch metal ring
Scissors


Instructions:

Magic ring

1. Ch 1, 6 sc in magic ring. Sl st to first st to join. (6 sts)

2. Ch 1, 2sc in ea st. Join. (12 sts)

3. Ch 5, sk join st, and next st. Sl st in next st. *Ch 5, sk 1 st, sl st in next st.* Repeat 3 more times. Ch 2, dc in join. (6 loops)

4. *Ch 6, sc in next loop* Repeat 4 more times. Ch 3, dc in dc from last round. (6 loops)

5. Ch 1, 3sc in ch sp. *Ch 2, 6sc in next loop.* Repeat around. Ch 2, 3sc in same ch sp as first 3 sc. join to first sc in that loop.

6. Ch 1, sc in join. *Ch 5, sk 2 sc. 2sc in ch 2 sp. Ch 5, sk 2 sc, sc in next 2 sts.* Repeat around. For last loop, ch 5, sk 2 sts. Sc in last st. (12 loops)

7. Ch 1, dc in in same st as join. *Ch 2, 2sc in loop, ch 2, dc in ea of the next 2 sc.* Repeat around. Ch 2, dc in last dc. Join. 

8. Sc around loop (see this video for help) Make 1 sc per st, and 1 sc per ch sp. Join.

Hanging loop:
After joining round 8, ch 8, sl st into same st as join. Cut yarn, weave in ends.

Cut 12 strands of yarn, 24 inches long. Loop 1 strand per stitch at the bottom for fringe. Trim ends to even out fringe.
